Turkish Ice Cream

I was at the Bata shop in Sungei Wang the other day, when I saw this group of shoppers who were deeply indulged in their ice cream. I immediately bugged my mum that I want a cone of those too! Mum thought it was McDonalds ice cream at first, but I told her that McDonalds ice cream doesnt look as yummy as this!

We both decided to go around to scout for the ice cream stall, sensing that it was definitely nearby as many shoppers on that floor were holding a cone too! And, WE FOUND IT! It's right at the door steps of Nam Heong Chicken Rice Shop (next to Esquire Kitchen).Read the full article

Kedai Makan Choy Kee

Perak's Best Kept Secret. The humble small town, Sungkai.

Many would have been introduce to one of Felda Residence's project, Sungai Klah Hot Spring which is located at Sungkai, Perak. Its something that we Malaysian need not spend bucks to travel to Taiwan or Japan for some hot spring therapy experience. Note: its only one and a half hour drive-time from Subang, Selangor.

10 minutes drive from the resort, you'll reach Sungkai's town. Its only like a street size (no joke). You'll find one restaurant at the main road which is packed with "eaters", then that is of course Kedai Makan Choy Kee.

I visited Choy Kee twice during my two days stay in Sungkai, and believe me its worth waiting for an hour for the food to arrive (during peak hour: lunchtime and dinnertime) its lip-smacking good. and the bonus is the darn-reasonable price.

Jalan Alor

Sorry for the dead site! I was on another food trip again, and this time, it was to Jalan Alor. It is just a walking distance away from Bukit Bintang Walk, and you should stop by Jalan Alor for a meal once you are done with your shopping!

Jalan Alor is definitely a hawker paradise and it would be a great place to hop from one hawker stall to another to try its vast variety of food! Typical Malaysian =D The place is also packed with both Malaysians and tourist, which made it difficult for any vehicles to pass through Jalan Alor.Read the full article

Louisiana, All-You-Can-Eat Pasta

If you want to challenge yourself and see how much spaghetti you can eat in one go, head on down to Louisiana. Don't worry, you don't have to fly all the way to the States for this. We have our own Louisiana right here in Malaysia, in a little place called Plaza Kelana Jaya.

In the menu, there is a special section for the All-you-can-eat Pasta. You can select from a variety for the price of only RM14.90. However, there is a catch. This special promotion only runs from 11.30am to 3pm, just nice for lunch. You are allowed to order one plate at a time. Tasting and sharing are strictly forbidden.
